Can someone give me a brief summary of Pride and Prejudice?

Don't worry, it's not my homework or anything. I just watched the movie and attempted to read the book, but I couldn't understand what's going on because it's all in old english. So is Elizabeth the beautiful one of all the sisters and she hates Mr. Darcy because he's arrogant??
